Senior Citizen Sewer Rates
Village Residents over the age of 65 may apply for a discounted rate for their sewer bill. As of December 2022, the Village Council has passed Resolution 2022-14, making changes to the application process to make it easier for residents to apply for this rate. North Park Pavilion Rental
The Pavilion of the North Park (Blue & White Park) in the Village of Hopkins is available for rental for those looking to host an event at the park. Renting the Pavilion gives the party reserved and exclusive use of the Pavilion during the rental time indicated. The rental of the Pavilion costs $25. Downtown Park and Pavilion Reservation
The Downtown Park and Pavilion, located on Main Street in front of the Fire Barn, is available for use by the public and may be reserved to ensure priority of use at the desired time of reservation for the reserving party. FEMA Floodplain Designation Information
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has updated its floodplain maps across the United States of America. These updates place some Village of Hopkins residents in a Floodplain, despite Village efforts to show the work that Hopkins has done to mitigate flooding threats. These new designations will force some homeowners, particularly those with mortgages on their homes, to get flood insurance. The Village of Hopkins has opted in to the FEMA Flood Insurance Program allowing Village residents to access a more affordable government flood insurance option.
